WRITE YOUR LIFE — FALL SESSION
This Fall's Hottest Read? Your Story.
As summer fades into new routines and fresh starts, and the shorties go back to school, it's the perfect season to turn back to self and writing. Over these next six weeks, we'll look for the ways that summer cascading into fall mirrors our own transformation. And, as always, we'll continue to hone the skills core to Write Your Life: from addictive sentences, to mastering story arcs, tension, character depth, and—of course—self reflection.
And since it's back-to-school season, expect prompts that dig into beginnings, transformation, and the stories that shaped who you've become.
Clementina has created safe spaces and helped writers tell their stories since her early days as a CUNY writing professor in 1998. In 2013, she founded the Clementina Collective, where she's a writing coach and developmental editor. As part of this course, you'll get her expert, kind, and encouraging feedback on up to 20 pages of your project.
Bonus: The last session this term is doubled (so please mark it and make space on your calendar) so we can share our work in the community.
We're capping this class at 12 writers so you can hone and free your voice, improve your work, and finish the six weeks with confidence — knowing you're a better writer than you were when fall began. 5 spots are already filled — don't wait to claim yours.

Whether you’re mid-draft or just beginning, this class offers the inspiration and support you need to help you close the gap between your creative vision and the reality of writing.
Lived experience doesn't automatically equal compelling narrative. The difference between "here's what happened to me" and "I couldn't put it down" comes down to two things: Overcoming the victim narrative and craft — the same elements that make fiction irresistible.
